Things I never Judge a Home Seller For
Let’s Find Home: What I’ve Learned Not to Judge, Seller Edition
Selling a home is its own kind of hard, different from buying, but just as real. It usually means saying goodbye to something, not just listing a property. Here is a short list of things I have seen again and again from sellers, and never once judged anyone for.
Crying While Packing Up Years of Memories
A house holds a lot more than square footage. First steps, holidays, ordinary Tuesdays that turned out to matter more than anyone realized at the time. Getting emotional while boxing that up is not dramatic. It is honest.

Feeling Defensive About the Condition of Your Home
Nobody loves hearing feedback about the place they have lived in and cared for. If a showing note stings a little, that is normal. It does not mean you did anything wrong. It means you are attached to your home, which is exactly how it should be.
Disagreeing With a Co-Seller
Spouses, siblings, former partners, family members splitting an inherited property. Selling together does not mean agreeing on everything, price, timing, or what to fix before listing. I never expect perfect alignment, and I never take sides. My job is to help everyone get to a decision they can live with.
Wanting to Price Based on What the Home Means to You, Not Just What the Market Says
The market sets the number, but that does not mean sentiment is irrelevant. Wanting your home’s value to reflect what you poured into it is completely human. Part of my job is helping you understand the market number while still respecting what the home is worth to you personally.
Feeling Exposed During Showings
Having strangers walk through your space, open your closets, and quietly judge your choices is uncomfortable no matter how many times you have done it. Feeling a little exposed by that is not thin skinned. It is just what the process actually feels like.
Being Unsure What You Need to Disclose
Sellers often worry about saying too much or too little. I would rather walk through this carefully with you than have you guess and get it wrong. Asking is always the right move, never a sign you are hiding something.
Changing Your Mind About Timing
Deciding to wait, deciding to move faster, deciding the moment simply is not right anymore. Selling a home is a major life decision, and it is allowed to shift as your life does.
